Throw Me to the Wolves Blog Tour: What to Read if...

Hello everyone I'm back and on another blog tour from Black Crow PR. This time for Lindy Ryan & Christopher Ryan's Throw Me to the Wolves!!! Thank you to the publishers, Black Spot Books and Black crow PR for inviting me on this tour!

So you may remember I have actually already reviewed this book but I loved it so much that I wanted to do some more content about it! My review can be found here

But for a quick recap I said

"This book was a blast. A fun violent witchy romp that brought to mind Anita Blake mixed with Edgar Cantero's Meddling Kids"

and the more I thought about how much I loved this book the more I wanted to dig into it's vibe and create a list of books that if you loved it you'd love this book. But also a set of Recs for people who loved Throw Me to the Wolves and needed something to tide them over to the next "Cry Wolf" adventure.  Well everone I got you here are my reccs in celebration of this amazing book! Enjoy!

From the top to the bottom!

A Series for if you loved the General Vibe
The Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton
Throw Me to the Wolves has a heck of a lot of Anita Blake running through it. It reminded me of reading these from the library as a kid and so I just had to reccomend it back. Britta and Anita would either be besties or hate each other on site and I promise you this is a compliment,

A Book for If you Loved the Setting
The City of Lost Fortunes by Bryan Camp
If you loved the southern gothic energy and the New Orleans setting then City of Lost Fortunes is the book for you also if you love City of Lost Fortunes's setting Throw Me to the Wolves is for you! Camp's jazz filled world of lost souls is tinged with macabre and a streak of dark comedy.

A Book for If You Loved The Adventure
 Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero
I loved Throw to the Wolves plot. The crumbling houses and trapped ghosts gave me a real grown up Scooby Doo vibe. So what better book for lovers of the plot than Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero. Quite literally grown up Scooby Doo except witha few more evil spells and Eldritch Monsters!

A Book if you Loved the Werewolf Lore
Vixen by Rosie Garland
Loved the transformations, monster powers and the general horror of being turned into a werewolf well Rosie Garland's sapphic shapeshifter story is the one for you. A lyrical and beautiful nightmare you won't forget Vixen in a hurry.

A Book for If You Loved Britta
The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix
Britta had big 80's/90's final girl energy to me so I had to pay homage to that with this final reccomendation.  Hendrix's playfully violent harkback to the golden age of the Final Girl in horror  is a super dark and fun adventure with loads of nostalgic references. Perfect for people who thought Britta would kick everyone's ass!

Hopefully you enjoyed this little adventure through Throw Me to the Wolves and enjoyed my reccs!
Thanks so much to everyone for inviting me on this tour!
