Victoria Stitch is Your new favourite spooky season Antihero!

October is upon us and as usual I plan on posting a lot of spoopy season content. However to kick us off I thought I'd start with a book I have been keeping to review until October. As you know I love a good middle grade and I love nothing more than a spooky anti hero middle grade give me Lemony Snicket and Edgar and Ellen any day of the week! Anyway without further a do heres why you should pick up Harriet Muncaster's newest book Victoria Stitch: Bad and Glittering!

Victoria Stitch is a twin and is known throughout the forest of Wiskling as a bad influence, a bad example and at times even tainted and dangerous due tot the fact that her diamond has a black mark on it known as a stitch. Celestine her twin is everything she isn't kind, calm and forgiving. Victyoria however is angry at the fact she is being denied her birthright and decides to get clever about it and while doing so falls in with the wrong crowd.

Victoria is probably one of my new favourite characters. She's headstrong, flawed and determined to prove everyone wrong. With no solid answers on why she is being messed with she decides to make a difference by herself however it all goes horribly wrong.

The flawed MG hero is always my favourite character. Victoria is like a slightly more twisted Ottoline. she's stubborn, headstrong and convinced she's doing the right thing. Where Celestine is willing to keep her head down and move along with life Victoria knows she's going to fight for it. She wears crazy clothes, enjoys herself and is her own authentic self.

This self styled evil pixie (even though she's not evil at all) is an absolutely amazing character and the first book in the series and is very fun. The perfect start to October!
