Our Lady of Mysterious Ailments Blog Tour Review!

Hello everybody and welcome to my day on Black Crow PR's Book tour for T.L Huchu's amazing book Our Lady of Mysterious Ailments. I was given a copy fo this book in exchange for a honest review.
Library of the dead was one of my standout reads of last year so imagine my delight when I got icked to read the sequel early. Reader I was ecstatic! So let's get on with the show.

Plot: Following straight on from Library of the dead, Ropa is out trying to get a new job. However after being shafted and becoming an unpaid intern Ropa sets out on a new mission to earn some extra cash on the side by solving a magical medical mystery with her friends and as usual things get wierd.

This book is one of the most fun books of the year already. If you are a fan of the Rivers of London series pick  this one up straight away. Ropa's misadventures in the world of corporate careers are a hoot however the real adventure kicks in the minute we go to the location this book is titled for. Our Lady of Mysterious Ailments is a clinic for those with supernatural or magical illnesses.

This book gets even more indepth with the fleshing out of the magical universe and the healers are fantastic. From gardens filled with healing herbs to crystal grids these guys are equipped for everything. In fact the entire universe is one you almost wished you lived in if it wasn't for the evil underbelly that seeps through the book.  From gang wars to possession this book really has everything you could possibly want in terms of magical crime and Ropa is the one that has to solve it.

This book cements Ropa as one of my faviorite modern book heroines. She's crafty, arrogant and confident in a way that'll make you want to stay on her good side. Her voice hits through this book so strongly that you almost forget she's fictional. You won't want to leave her or her family behind.

This book really fleshes out the role of her little sister in a way that was really fun to see. We also get a sense at the darker mysteries hiding behind the surface of magical Edinburgh. There's a massive cliffhanger as well which is very intriguing.

Overall I loved this book and am still so pleased I got to read it early and be part of this book tour!
