GO WATCH CHARLI XCX's DOCUMENTARY

So one of my favourite pop stars of the moment, the lovely Charli XCX did an amazing documentary for BBC about Feminism in the music industry called Charli XCX: The F Word and Me. Basically go watch it now.

for more click under the cut!

With interviews from other famous girl singers like Rae Morris, Marina Diamandis, LIZ, Lianne La Havas, Ryn Weaver and one half of MS MR, Lizzy Plapinger and band Ibeyi. It's a really interesting, super frank and a strange look behind the curtain of the pop star life. She looks at the backlash towards her outfits, the girl power of the Spice Girls, Rihanna's excellent Bitch Better Have my Money video and a look at her idol Britney Spears. As well as talking about how men pretend Taylor Swift doesn't write her own songs.

Basically sit your kids down (if they are over the age of probably 15) and make them watch this it will be a great way to start a conversationIt's great to see a poster who is interested in making sure young girls have a good view of the industry and themselves.  It's also a really well made and great documentary (if you loved this for it's aesthetics try "Beyond Clueless" by Charlie Lynne)
Love You Charli.
